Family Giving Campaign

We need EVERY family’s help to keep CLIC thriving!

The donations you make bridge the gap between the government funds that our school receives and the actual cost to operate our amazing school and provide everything we love about CLIC for our children. All donations are tax deductible.

Historically, the money raised has paid for our smaller class sizes, our talented art/music/physical education teachers, teacher assistants and paraprofessionals; field trips; bilingual education materials; school supplies/games/books; tech equipment; cleaning supplies; mortgage for our modern campus; utilities; and other budgeted items.

As a community we come together every year to successfully raise money during the Family Giving Campaign, CLIC’s biggest fundraiser.

Check with your employer’s HR department – many companies match donations and can double or triple your donation. Scroll down for more information.

We’ll take it! Please DO NOT mail cash. Instead, drop it off in a sealed envelop in the main office. Include the below forms so we know it is for the Family Giving Campaign and from you, so we can send you a receipt.

How much should I give?

 

Below we have some suggested guidelines, but whether you are able to give more than suggested, or less, please know that every donation counts!

We understand that everyone’s ability to give is not the same. It takes a village to keep a community going. One of the deeply rooted values at CLIC is our socio-economic diversity and we thank you for all the ways you enrich us, including whatever amount you can give.

Please give what feels meaningful and works for your family’s budget. In the past, annual donation have ranged from $10 to $12,000. Last year the average was $645.

Some families give 1-2 months of what they previously paid their former preschool/daycare as their annual donation. Spread it out over monthly payments or give in a lump sum- it’s up to you!

Matching Gift

Want to possibly double (or even triple!) your donation to CLIC? Ask your employer if they participate in gift matching- many large companies and corporations do.

Please inform the CLIC Fundraising Team immediately at porellana@newlosangeles.org if your employer will be matching your gift so we can keep an eye out for it.

Why is the Family Giving Campaign so important?

The Family Giving Campaign is our biggest and most important fundraiser of the school year.

Why? The FGC aims to raise $150,000 of the overall $200,000 annual fundraising goal. Everything CLIC has planned assumes we reach the overall goal. Every dollar counts!

We are striving for 100% participation from our CLIC Familia to reach our family giving goal. No amount is too small! All amounts are kept confidential. All donations made to CLIC are 100% tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
